![]() ![]() Then, go in and turn the section cut back off. Once I’ve done that, I’m going to make the cut through the site active plane by right clicking and selecting make active. Once I’ve hidden everything in my side, I’m going to create a section plane inside my site group. This will make your life WAY easier moving forward. I recommend setting your model up in the outliner so each one of your moving pieces is in its own group. So let’s start by hiding everything except our site. One note, because I didn’t mention this last week – you can create section cuts inside groups and components so you only cut through objects in those groups. So if you’ll remember, last week we talked about the way SketchUp animations the transition between active section cuts.įor example, I’m going to add a section cut to my model here, and we’re going to create 2 scenes where the cut is active, and a scene where the cut isn’t active. This week, we’re going to apply that to creating construction animations in SketchUp. Last week we talked a bit about using section cuts to create animations. Today’s SketchUp tutorial will teach you to use section cuts in SketchUp to create a construction sequence animation. ![]()
